Mechanical Engineer
Job Requirements & Skills:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us design and develop new machinery and equipment. We manufacture custom-application hydraulic presses, where designs are frequently unique and “job-engineered.” The ideal candidate will have experience in AutoCAD and Creo, the ability to perform stress analysis, and support the RFP / RFQ process.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new machinery and equipment using AutoCAD and Creo to create 2D and 3D models and blueprint drawings
- Perform stress analysis to ensure the safety and reliability of designs
- Work with client and internal engineers, suppliers, and production technicians to bring designs to life
- Estimate materials costs and labor hours necessary to produce machinery in the RFQ / RFP process
- Support the startup and test processes to ensure it meets required regulatory specs
- Stay up-to-date on the latest engineering technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related Engineering discipline, 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design OR An Associate’s degree in an Engineering or Drafting discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and Creo
- Experience with stress analysis
- Experience with design of heavy steel fabrications, hydraulic routing and sizing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Hydraulic Technician - Machine Builder
Job Requirements and Skills
- Fabricate, lay out, and build subsystems of a hydraulic press, including mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and electrical systems, using schematics.
- Fabricate and build mounts for hydraulic plumbing, electrical sensors, and operator control systems.
- Bend and route tubing to hydraulic pumps, components, and reservoirs.
- Route conduits, wire, and cables to electrical components, distribution cabinet, and motors.
- Inspect, test, and otherwise prepare components for the build.
- Perform machine start-up and troubleshooting.
- Support engineering design and programming changes.
- Sawing, light welding, grinding, and drilling and tapping holes.
- Mechanical layout/building/assembly using hand tools, torches, welder, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Hydraulic layout/building/assembly using hand tools, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Electrical layout / light assembly using hand tools, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Reading schematics and blueprints – interpret and build machinery using hydraulic and electrical schematics, previous-build photographs, mechanical drawings, etc. as a footprint.
- Crane and forklift operation
- Pipe and tube bending
- Painting – surface prep and spraying
- Forktruck experience

Machinist
Job Requirements and Skills
- Set up, operate, and tend lathes and boring mills.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Coordinate with other staff for the purpose of completing projects/ work orders efficiently.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand, fork truck, crane, or other equipment.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Knowledge of how to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- All other duties as assigned.

Welder – Fabricator
Job Requirements and Skills
- Set up, operate, tend, and maintain MIG, TIG, and stick welding equipment.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Operate portable grinders, hand files, hand scrapers, power chippers, and hand-welding, flame cutting, and arc-cutting equipment.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
- Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools.
- Coordinate with other staff for the purpose of completing projects/ work orders efficiently.
- Perform assigned maintenance for the purpose of ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
