The Powder Compaction System illustrated, automatically feeds a weighed charge of powder into a segmented mold. Up to 500 tons of pressure compact the powder into shape. The mold segments automatically open, the press ejects the part and shuttles back for a refill from a loss-in-weight feeder.

Savage Blocking/Bailing presses are built to order, designed around your requirements. Typically used for consolidating loose fill materials into large blocks which may be several feet long or diameter. Blocked material can be easier to handle, an easier form to utilize in the next step or easier to ship.
The press pictured is one of several we designed (with shear rings and vacuum systems) to block solid rocket fuel for storage purposes. Also used by oil companies for blocking polymers.

Savage Briquetting presses are available either vertical or horizontal acting. The 350 ton vertical press shown features a sliding gate with hopper fill. Horizontal presses are automatically filled by elevator or conveyor.
Briquette sizes vary to meet requirements and can be round or rectangular.
